14 Feb, 2008

Engineering schools can use the products to acquire data from physical products to create 3D models.

ENGINEERING.com and Creaform announced yesterday that the companies have formed a partnership that will give ENGINEERING.com the right to distribute Creaform's line of Handyscan 3D laser scanners to the educational market in North America. On February 18, 2008, ENGINEERING.com will begin distribution of the Handyscan 3D scanners. Creaform will be responsible for installation, training, and post-sales support.

"Engineering schools throughout North America have been looking for a way to acquire data from physical products to create 3D models," said John Hayes, President of ENGINEERING.com. "The Handyscan is the first product we've seen that can fit the needs and the budgets of engineering schools."
