Belden Universal Launches PARTsolutions Online Catalog

8 Jul, 2008

Users can configure and download digital 2D/3D CAD files for single and double universal joints.

Belden, a manufacturer of precision universal joints, announced today that the company has launched an online product catalog and configuration tool of its engineered products in partnership with PARTsolutions, a provider of digital parts catalog technology and services. PARTsolutions has Web-enabled the Belden collection of single and double universal joints available immediately.

"Our new online CAD catalog makes ordering easier because our customers can make simple option choices and see the configured universal joint they specified," said Perry Sainati, president of Belden. "The addition of the PARTsolutions online CAD catalog makes it easier for engineers to specify Belden products and use them in their designs."

Belden reportedly has online RFQ support and application briefs to assist its customers and distributors with their requirements and application assistance. The new catalog delivers both 3D models and 2D drawings. Once configured, PARTsolutions creates high-quality, native CAD data including the accurate Belden part number, which is downloaded by the designer, according to the company.

PARTsolutions will also provide Belden products digitally in various online market places including the Autodesk Manufacturing Supplier Content Center, Machine Design magazine CAD Library, and others. Belden products will also be available within PARTsolutions enterprise solutions.
