SolidProfessor Launches SolidWorks Design Team Contest
SolidProfessor announced the launch of its March Madness Contest, which is open to design teams with five or more users. The grand prize is one year of SolidProfessor Enterprise, an online SolidWorks training and productivity resource. Entries are accepted through April 14, 2015.

Cloud-Based 3D CAD System Available for Beta Testing
Onshape has launched a beta version of its cloud-based 3D CAD system. According to the company, users can request an invitation for a Onshape account to test and evaluate the software.

Kickstarter Campaign to Fund Architectural Visualization Conference
Organizers of the first annual CGarchitect Visualization Conference launched a Kickstarter campaign to fund a three-day event in Whistler, Canada, scheduled for October 14–16, 2015. Conference planners say the Kickstarter funds will pay for the hotel costs as well as ensure interest in the event is strong enough to proceed. The Kickstarter campaign ends March 31, 2015.

AEC: LumenRT Architect and LumenRT VIZ
E-on Software launched two products for architectural professionals — LumenRT Architect and LumenRT VIZ. LumenRT Architect reportedly allows users to transform SketchUp and ArchiCAD designs into images, videos and interactive worlds. LumenRT VIZ is a free version of LumenRT Architect available for non-commercial use with SketchUp.
