Overall BIM Market to Grow at CAGR of 13% until 2020
Online market research firm Research and Markets has published "Building Information Modeling Market by End User (Architect, Contractor, Owner), Type (Software, Services), Vertical (Commercial, Residential, Educational, Industrial, Healthcare) and Geography — Analysis and Forecast to 2015–2020" ($4,650, PDF, single user). The report states the overall building information modeling (BIM) market is expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 13% from 2015 to 2020.

Free Trial of Multi-Physics for IronCAD Available
IronCAD, a provider of design productivity solutions, is offering a free trial of its Multi-Physics for IronCAD (MPIC) solution, which provides finite element analysis (FEA) for multi-physics stress, thermal, electrostatic, and fluid analysis. The trial includes full product capabilities as a node-limited version, and it is available for users who register on the company's website.

AMD Extends FirePro Graphics Card Discount
AMD has extended its discount offer of as much as 50% to workstation owners interested in swapping out their old graphics card for a new professional-grade card. The offer applies to the company's AMD FirePro W5100, AMD FirePro W7100, AMD FirePro W8100, and AMD FirePro W9100 graphics cards. The new offer end date is December 31, 2015.

Luxion Offers Free KeyShot 6 Trial
Luxion announced a trial offer for the company's KeyShot 6 3D rendering and animation software, which creates images from 3D models. Users who register on the company's website can choose between 32-bit and 64-bit versions of KeyShot on Windows or Mac operating systems. The trial version reportedly is a fully functional license with all features, but the render output is watermarked.

Call for Papers Opens for the 2016 Coordinate Metrology Society Conference
The Coordinate Metrology Society (CMS) announced a call for papers for its 32nd annual Coordinate Metrology Society Conference (CMSC), to be held July 25–29, 2016. The organization seeks contributions on the successful use of 3D coordinate measurement systems, case studies, technology benchmarks, scientific research and developments, and more. Abstract submissions are due by March 11, 2016.

Science Fiction–Themed Entries Sought for TraceParts Competition
Protolabs, a manufacturer for custom prototypes, and TraceParts, a supplier of 3D digital content, are seeking entries for the ninth annual TraceParts Competition. Using components from TracePartsOnline.net, participants should reproduce a 3D character, location, machine, or any other cult object related to a sci-fi movie. The deadline is December 18, 2015.
