First Look Review: Dell 3007WFP LCD17 Apr, 2006 By: Ron LaFon
UltraSharp 30" flat-panel display is impressive on many fronts
The new Dell 3007WFP 30" LCD monitor is impressive not only for its size, but also for its quality of construction and overall display. It's a wide aspect ratio monitor that displays a whopping 4 million pixels at its maximum WQXGA resolution (2560x1600). The Dell UltraSharp 3007WFP is the largest and most fully featured flat-panel model in Dell's lineup.
In addition to the WQXGA resolution, the 3007WFP features an 11ms gray-to-gray response time -- better than that of many smaller LCD displays. The display has a 400 cd/m² brightness rating, a 700:1 contrast ratio and 178-degree viewing angle. It has a landscape (horizontal) orientation and doesn't pivot to portrait mode -- probably a wise decision for a panel this large. You can adjust the height and swivel and tilt the display. The mount is stable despite the panel's size. A 9-in-2 card reader and four USB 2.0 slots are located on the left side of the panel. Read more >>p>
