Social Super Fan, Ryan Turner, becomes an Innovator!

One of our ThinkRevolution Social Super Fans, Ryan Turner, has hit the first level of fandom, he is now a ThinkRevolution Innovator. Congrats, Ryan!

We want to share a little information about our Social Super Fans as they progress in their quest to become a Revolutionist, here’s what we learned about Ryan:

Ryan was born and raised in California. He currently lives in gorgeous, Santa Ana, California; he’s sandwiched between Los Angeles and San Diego, and only a few minutes or so away from Disneyland! (ThinkRevolution field trip anyone?)

Ryan is an upcoming electronic/bass music (like dubstep, trap, drum & bass, etc.) producer/DJ/recording artist and goes by the name PROJEKT61. He’s been producing for 5 years, but has only been producing electronic music for almost 3 years. He recently kicked off his DJing career in the last couple of years. In addition to his interest in music, Ryan is also an emerging graphic designer, a contributor to ThinkScopes.com, and a brand new YouTuber (Eli Turner) which he uses to comment on current events, products, etc. and a Lenovo INsider! (So many hats!)

For all of his endeavors, Ryan is using Lenovo systems. Daily he uses a ThinkPad T500, a Lenovo C440, and a Yoga 3 Pro. In addition to these systems Ryan has “semi-retired” and “retired” systems (oldies, but goodies J): a ThinkPad T60, an R51 (his first ThinkPad & laptop!), a T41, and a 600. He let us know that his ultimate dream machines are a top-of-the-line ThinkPad P50 and a ThinkStation P900 so he can do more music production, graphic design, 3D modeling, and video production. (Those are a couple of our favs too!! Looks like you are starting a collection!)

Because Ryan is a true ThinkPadder, we had to ask him ‘Why Lenovo’? Here’s what he had to say:

“I choose Lenovo because of their quality, reliability, uniqueness, variety, and innovation (with ThinkPad being my go-to computer). No other competitor can do it like they do - they're simply the best. For me, Lenovo is also a lifestyle, as well as a sort of mentor that's always looking out for you and pushing you in the right direction. I have supported them since day 1. I guess it’s safe to say that I'm a Lenovian (and ThinkPadder) for life!”

(We couldn’t have said it better ourselves Ryan!)

With a man who uses so many awesome Lenovo systems, you know he has to have an arsenal of software! For his graphic design projects, Ryan uses Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. He is looking forward to learning and using Maya 3D and/or Cinema 4D. For video production, he’s currently using Windows Movie Maker, but will be upgrading to Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects in the near future. He’s also using a crazy amount of plugins for his music from Native Instruments, Xfer, Ableton, and FL Studio.

Ryan uses his Lenovo PCs for lots of projects. Lately he’s been a part of Lenovo’s #HacktheLogo campaign and has made some very cool logos featuring our ThinkPad mobile workstations and his music brand PROJEKT61 (you can check these out on his Twitter page!). Music is one of Ryan’s passions in addition to his artwork, he told us he is currently working on an ode to the ThinkPad W Series as well as the ThinkPad P Series! (What?? This is awesome! We can’t wait to hear it). Ryan loves our workstations, he told us, “I'm a big time workstation enthusiast. These are pretty much the reasons why I decided to join the ThinkRevolution, so I can preach about these beasts while I wait to get one of my own!” (we can’t wait for you to have one!!)

We are excited Ryan has joined ThinkRevolution as a Social Super Fan; you’ll see him posting all about Lenovo from @PROJEKT61!
