linux kernel bug - amdgpu-pro 17.10

Dear all!

I am experiencing a linux kernel-bug upon inserting the 5th AMD RX580 card:

I have a workstation serving computational purposes in which I am using several "MSI Radeon RX 580 Armor 8G OC" graphics cards.

System: ubuntu 16.04.2 LTS Server 64bit

AMD driver: amdgpu-pro 17.10 as form the AMD download page.

Symptom: with up to 4 graphics cards, the system runs nicely, all open-CL commands are processed normally. With the 5th graphics card, the kernel has a "kernal BUG" during boot, form which point onwards it boots very slowly. The kernel seems not to load the amdgpu-pro drivers and does not accept open-CL commands. Shouldn't linux and the amdgpu-pro driver support more than 4 graphics cards?

For analysis I attach the syslog of a start cycle with 5 graphics cards. Can you tell me what is going on?

regards

Sulla
